Southbound Interstate 17 will be closed overnight
near downtown Phoenix at “the Stack” interchange for routine bridge
inspections. The westbound Interstate 10 ramp to southbound I-17 also will be
closed while inspections are underway. Drivers should plan to use detour routes
while both closures are in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, to 5 a.m.
Wednesday, Nov. 16:
- The westbound I-10 ramp to southbound I-17 will be closed. Detour: Exit westbound I-10 to southbound 19th Avenue to westbound Van Buren Street to connect with I-17.
- Southbound I-17 will be closed at Interstate 10. Detour: Exit southbound I-17 at McDowell Road and use the southbound frontage road to connect with I-17. Drivers can also use eastbound I-10 to connect with southbound I-17 at 24th Street near Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.
