Follow detour routes to avoid delays
|
|
|
Drivers who use Interstate 10 near
Buckeye or State Route 85 should plan ahead for possible delays on Saturday,
Nov. 5, as the Arizona Department of Transportation wraps up rubberized asphalt
paving in the area. The following restrictions and closures are planned. As
always, work schedules are subject to change because of weather or other
unforeseen factors:
- Westbound I-10 will be narrowed to one lane in one-mile increments between Verrado Way and State Route 85 from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Avoid the work zone by using alternate routes such as Yuma or Broadway roads.
- The westbound I-10 on-ramp at Verrado Way will be closed from 6 to 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Use southbound Verrado Way to westbound Yuma Road to northbound Watson Road to connect with I-10.
-
The westbound on- and off-ramps at Watson Road will be closed from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Off-ramp detour: Exit at Miller Road and turn south to access the eastbound I-10 on-ramp. Merge onto eastbound I-10 and exit at Watson Road. On-ramp detour: Use southbound Watson Road to westbound Yuma Road to northbound Miller Road to access I-10.
-
The westbound I-10 connecting ramp to southbound State Route 85 will be closed from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Exit at Palo Verde Road south and turn left to merge onto eastbound I-10 to use the connecting ramp to southbound SR 85.
-
The connecting ramp from northbound SR 85 to westbound I-10 will be closed from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5. Avoid heavy delays by following marked detour routes. Use westbound Southern Avenue (two miles south of I-10) to northbound Palo Verde Road to westbound I-10 or use Miller Road north to the westbound I-10 on-ramp.
