Work on I-19 from Tubac to Palo Parado in Santa Cruz County
The north- and southbound I-19 on- and off-ramps at Tumacacori (Exit 29) will be closed Tuesday (April 26) from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. for pavement work. DETOUR: Drivers may use the Palo Parado Road (Exit 25) or Tubac Road (Exit 34).
Interstate 19 from Palo Parado to Tumacacori (mileposts 16-21/ kilometers 25-34) will be open in both directions.
The work is part of the I-19: Palo Parado Road to Tubac Road pavement and bridge improvement project. The $4.1 million project is expected to be completed this spring.
ADOT works to inform the public about planned roadway restrictions, but there is a possibility that unscheduled closures or restrictions may occur. Weather can also affect a project schedule.
