Overnight closures of Loop 101 at State Route 51 scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday nights

 

PHOENIX — Sections of Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) near State Route 51 will be closed overnight this week for bridge work, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. The work is part of the ongoing project to add elevated ramps connecting State Route 51 with Black Mountain Boulevard, north of Loop 101.

Westbound Loop 101 will be closed overnight at State Route 51 from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 5 a.m. Wednesday (Feb. 10) for bridge work. DETOUR: Westbound Loop 101 traffic will be detoured to southbound State Route 51 and drivers can use westbound Union Hills Drive to northbound Cave Creek Road to reconnect with Loop 101. The eastbound Loop 101 HOV lane also will be closed Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, eastbound Loop 101 will be closed overnight at State Route 51 from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday (Feb. 11) for bridge work. The eastbound Loop 101 on-ramps at Seventh Street and Cave Creek Road also will be closed overnight. DETOUR: Eastbound Loop 101 traffic will be detoured to southbound State Route 51 and can use eastbound Union Hills Drive to northbound Tatum Boulevard to reconnect with Loop 101. The westbound Loop 101 HOV lane also will be closed near SR 51 Wednesday night.
