NOW LIVE - Memory Care Services Training Programs
We are excited to announce the launch of a new Memory Care Services Training Program approval process by the Arizona Department of Health Services - Bureau of Assisted Living Facilities Licensing (Bureau). This initiative is designed to enhance the quality of care provided to individuals with dementia and other neurodegenerative brain disorders.
Available starting July 1, 2025, training programs that meet the standards outlined in A.A.C. R9-10-122 and are approved by the Bureau will be authorized to issue Certificates of Completion (certificate(s)) to assisted living facility staff and contractors who successfully complete their respective training programs. All staff and contractors working in assisted living facilities licensed to provide directed care services will be required to complete memory care services training and obtain a certificate as outlined in A.A.C. R9-10-816(B) and (C).
Key Information:
- The Bureau will approve training programs that meet all regulatory requirements under A.A.C. R9-10-122.
- Approved training programs will issue certificates to participants who fulfill all training requirements.
- Training programs and assisted living facilities licensed to provide directed care services must maintain records of all certificates on file and available for review.
