ADHS relaunches its popular COVID-19 vaccination program

PHOENIX — The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is proud to announce it has relaunched its lifesaving mobile COVID-19 vaccination program. This program is designed to ensure all Arizonans, anywhere in the state, still have equitable access to free COVID-19 vaccinations by bringing a vaccine clinic to any community that requests it. This program, in partnership with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), is intended to fill the gap in access to COVID-19 vaccines for the uninsured and underinsured, as a result of the CDC Bridge Access program ending this August. By being proactive, ADHS and the CDC are ensuring all Arizonans will continue to have crucial access to COVID-19 vaccines.

“ADHS remains diligent in responding to Arizonans’ health needs by coming to community members and meeting them where they are. This program partnership is a testament to how the Federal and State government and the private sector work together to prioritize access to public health care,” said Jessica Barbosa, Health Equity Program Manager at ADHS.

The latest ADHS program utilizes four contracted mobile vendor partners to provide COVID-19 vaccinations to all residents. Each event can be tailored to meet the needs of the community. The program also has a Vaccine Equity Health Educator to provide in-person or virtual vaccine health education and linkage to resources.
