Empowering young citizens— that's the mission of the Secretary of State's Young Voter Workshop. Hundreds of high school students from all around the state will again participate in the day-long programs which will be held on March 17, 18, and 19 this spring.
As one of our most popular student programs, Secretary Thurston and the Education Team considers informing voters and future voters as one of our most important responsibilities. We invite you and your high school students to join us!

Professional Development 


The Secretary of State's office is proud to present a new professional development workshop for the summer of 2020! We are happy to present "Using the State Capitol to Teach" with special guests, the Old State House Museum and The Clinton Presidential Library!

We are currently scheduling the workshop, please check with your local Co-Op for sign up dates!

The Education Team has multiple traveling presentations for students of all ages and grade levels. One of our skilled team members will come right to your classroom and teach your students, using hands-on, cross-curricular methods on subjects such as State Symbols, How a Bill Becomes Law, the Arkansas Traveler, and the Little Golden Books presentation!
