Construction Project to Affect Parking

and Traffic Near State Capitol

Street Resurfacing Project Will Take Several Weeks

(LITTLE ROCK, ARK.) –  The Arkansas Secretary of State, in partnership with the Arkansas Department of Transportation, will be completing a street resurfacing project around the State Capitol building and the Capitol Mall area.

This project will be done in several phases over the next few weeks.  Naturally, this project will affect parking and traffic flow around the complex.

The first phase of the  project began today with resurfacing work being done on Woodlane Avenue.  Woodlane Avenue will be closed from 7th Street to the Little Rock Nine Monument from Monday May 13, 2019 through Thursday May 16, 2019.  No parking will be allowed on Woodlane during this time.  Traffic will also be re-routed from this area.  Please do not park on Woodlane Avenue while construction is being done.

Also, there are many Legislative meetings scheduled for the week of May 13 through May 17.  Please refrain from parking in spots marked "Reserved for Legislative Parking" unless you are a Legislator.  State Capitol Police will be monitoring the project and enforcing the parking policy.

We appreciate your assistance and patience while these projects are being completed.

As always, if you need assistance please call the State Capitol Police at 682-5173.
