Add voting information to the
list of government efficiencies
Gov2Go delivers in one convenient, citizen-centric access point
LITTLE ROCK,
Ark. – September 20, 2016 – Just over a year ago, Arkansas became the first
state in the nation transform government by breaking down agency silos and
delivering citizen-centric government interactions through a single digital
personal assistant, Gov2Go.
Today, more than 180,000 Arkansans have subscribed to Gov2Go to receive
personalized, timely, and relevant notifications about their interactions with
state government. Now Arkansans can add voter information to the list of notifications
their digital personal assistant, Gov2Go, can provide.
The Arkansas
Secretary of State’s office, in partnership with the Information Network of Arkansas (INA), today released a new way for Arkansans
to keep up with key dates and information for the November general election. By
downloading Gov2Go, citizens can receive voting information personalized to
their district through the digital personal assistant platform.
Gov2Go connects users to their voter registration record in the Secretary of
State’s Voter View database and makes it easy for Arkansans to:
● View the voter registration deadline and
information about registering to vote
● Download a voter registration application
● Request a voter registration application by mail
● View early voting and general election dates and
times
● Get helpful email reminders for early voting and
Election Day
● Find out who’s running and what issues are on
their ballot
● See where to vote on Election Day
September is National Voter Registration Month and the perfect time to give
Arkansans another convenient way to access voter registration forms and
personalized information about where to vote on Election Day.
“The need for public information and education on voter registration is
extremely critical as Arkansas voters prepare to take part in the November
general election,” Arkansas Secretary of State and INA Board Chair Mark Martin
said. “October 11 is the deadline to register to vote in November. We are
pleased to offer Gov2Go as another resource to give Arkansans convenient
digital access to voter registration forms, and reminders about early voting
and the general election. We are hopeful that Gov2Go will increase awareness
about state requirements and deadlines for voting, and encourage more qualified
Arkansas voters to participate the election.”
In addition to the voter registration deadline
and general election dates, Gov2Go provides personalized and timely information
such as property assessment and tax payments, car tag renewals and business
franchise tax, and sends users personalized reminders about these government
services.
Every Arkansan can receive their own
personalized government notifications through Gov2Go by visiting GetGov2Go.com to download the iOS and Android apps or entering
an email address.
