Miss Laura’s Brothel Museum to Celebrate Grand Reopening

Fort Smith, AR - Miss Laura’s Brothel Museum, located at 2 N B St, Fort Smith, AR 72901, will celebrate its grand reopening on Saturday, October 24, 2026, beginning with a ribbon-cutting at 9:00 AM. Admission will be free.
Visitors can explore new exhibits and a gift shop with new additions that will not disappoint, along with improvements that include a new parking lot, new signage, and a completely refreshed exterior.
The museum’s “Rooms Through the Decades” exhibits explore the building’s history across different eras. The grand reopening will also mark the debut of the “Coming to Current” room, a new exhibit that examines sex work and sex trafficking in modern times.
The day’s festivities will also include the Gilded Women’s Market, featuring women-owned businesses that practice and preserve traditional arts and crafts passed down through generations of women.

“Over the past four years, we’ve worked to ensure that Miss Laura’s is more than a building that tells a story about our past. Through preservation, community partnerships, and the development of new exhibits and programming, we’re creating a place where history continues to spark conversation, challenge assumptions, and connect with future generations,” said Angel Tracy, Miss Laura’s Museum Manager. “This work has never been about preserving a building alone; it’s about preserving the stories, the history, and the opportunity for Miss Laura’s to remain a meaningful part of Fort Smith’s future. It has been a labor of love the whole way.” |
As part of the celebration, visitors will have an opportunity to take home a branded piece of the building’s former siding. Pieces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of one per person while supplies last.
The public is invited to attend the ribbon-cutting, tour the updated museum, and experience the next chapter of this award-winning Fort Smith landmark.
