Fort Smith Transit Service Updates
 Fort Smith Transit is announcing important service updates and will hold a 30-day public hearing period, including changes to Saturday service hours, discontinuation of the Rogers Supercenter Route, discontinuation of the Transportation Assistance Program (TAP), and updates to holiday service operations for 2026. Please review the details below and plan your trips accordingly.

- Rogers Supercenter Route Discontinuation
Effective Monday, January 19, 2026
The Rogers Supercenter Route will be discontinued. The final day of service will be Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Riders affected by this change are encouraged to explore alternative transportation options, including:
- Nearby Fixed Routes
- Demand Response / Paratransit Service (for eligible riders)
Customer service staff are available to assist with trip planning.
- Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) Discontinuation
Effective Monday, January 19, 2026
The Transportation Assistance Program (TAP) will be discontinued. The final day for the issuance of TAP tickets is Friday, January 16, 2026.
Riders currently using TAP are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternative options.
Customer service staff can assist with questions and trip planning.
- 2026 Holiday Service Update
Beginning in 2026, Fort Smith Transit will no longer operate on a Limited Service schedule.
Instead, Fort Smith Transit will be closed for all city-observed holidays.
What This Means for Riders
- No Limited Service days in 2026
- No transit service on city-observed holidays
- Regular service will operate on all non-holiday weekdays and Saturdays as scheduled
Riders are encouraged to plan trips accordingly and check the holiday calendar in advance.
