EPA Lead and Copper Rule / Service Line Inventory Annual Notice
Recent updates to the EPA Lead and Copper Rule require all cities to maintain a Service Line Inventory to identify any lead or galvanized service line materials. The City of Fort Smith is committed to meeting these requirements and protecting the health of every household in our community.
As part of this effort, some customers will receive an annual notice by mail with instructions on how to report the material of their private service line. If you receive this notice and have already responded to a previous request from the City, no further action is needed.
If you do not receive a notice in the mail, you do not need to take any action.
