Director Lee Kemp contacted the City Clerk's Office at approximately 12:50 p.m. and requested a special study session be called for Tuesday, September 16, 2025 to be held immediately following adjournment of the regularly scheduled regular meeting set for 6:00 p.m. on the same date at the Blue Lion, 101 North 2nd Street, Fort Smith, Arkansas to accommodate the following:

1. Review 2026 Preliminary Budget Requests for the Water Utilities Department

All remaining directors were contacted with no director being immediately available. Ultimately, Directors Jarred Rego, Andre' Good, and Neal Martin concurred with the request. Directors George Catsavis, Christina Catsavis, and Kevin Settle did not concur.
A called meeting of the Board of Directors requires the concurrence of four (4) directors, which was accomplished as aforementioned; therefore, the special study session will be held as requested.
The Agenda Board Packet for the September 16, 2025 regular meeting has been uploaded to the City of Fort Smith website; however, a revised Agenda Board Packet to include the special study session will be uploaded as soon as possible. Once uploaded, Notice of same will be provided in like-manner.
