UPDATE: 24-Inch Water Main Repair Underway
Fort Smith, AR - As of this morning, all necessary parts have arrived on site, and Fort Smith Water Utilities crews have begun the repair of the 24-inch water main that ruptured near Sodie’s Wine & Spirits. Barring unforeseen issues, the repair is expected to be completed later today.
During this time, some residents may experience temporary water service disruptions or low water pressure.
Emergency Phase II Water Conservation Measures remain in effect, and residents are urged to continue limiting non-essential water use until further notice.
The entire Water Conservation Program is available on the city’s website.
