The City of Fort Smith Appoints Jesse Bennett as Director of Building Services
Fort Smith, AR - The City of Fort Smith is pleased to announce the appointment of Jesse Bennett as Director of Building Services.
Mr. Bennett joined the City in 2021 and has served in key roles, including Building Inspector and Plans/Inspections Manager. He brings more than a decade of private-sector experience, having worked with TJS prior to his tenure with the City.
Jesse holds multiple professional certifications, including ICC certifications as a Commercial Building Inspector and Building Plans Examiner, as well as a State Plumbing Inspector license and INSPARK Building Inspector credential for natural disaster response. (Note: ICC refers to the International Code Council, a leading organization in building safety and code development.)

In his new role, Mr. Bennett will oversee the Building Services Department, which is responsible for plan review, building code enforcement, inspections, and permitting throughout Fort Smith.
