Processing Fees
Payment Policy Update Effective Tomorrow
Beginning March 1, 2025, the City of Fort Smith will no longer absorb the cost of transaction and processing fees for payments made via credit and debit cards. These fees will now be the responsibility of the payer at the time of the transaction.
Don't want to pay transaction fees?
Consider these options:
1. Set up ACH payments for City services. Visit Payit.FortSmithAR.gov or contact your bank. The City will continue absorbing ACH processing fees.
2. Pay with cash or check at 623 Garrison Ave or drop a check at one of our convenient dropbox locations.
