New Year, Same Rule: Keep FOG Out of the Drain!
As we dive into the new year, here’s a resolution that benefits everyone: dispose of Fats, Oils, and Grease (FOG) correctly!
Why it matters:
- FOG poured down the drain cools, hardens, and clogs pipes.
- Clogs lead to costly plumbing repairs and sanitary sewer overflows.
- Proper disposal keeps our water systems flowing smoothly.
What to do instead:
- Let FOG cool, then toss it in the trash.
- Wipe greasy pans with a paper towel before washing.
- Use a grease can or container to collect grease, fats, oils and leftover cooking residues.
Start 2025 on the right foot by protecting your pipes and our community’s waterways. Say no to FOG this year—and every year!
