EPA Lead and Copper Rule Revisions Require Service Line Inventory

Recent revisions to the EPA Lead and Copper Rule mandate that cities nationwide perform a Service Line Inventory of their water systems to determine if lead or galvanized materials are present. City of Fort Smith Water Utilities is focused on meeting the requirements of this mandate and protecting the health of every household in our community.

As we assess our inventory, some customers will receive a notification in the mail with instructions for reporting their private service line materials. Renters who receive a notice are asked to provide a copy to the property owner.

IF YOU DO NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE IN THE MAIL, YOU DO NOT NEED TO TAKE ANY ACTION.
