City of Fort Smith Awarded Critical Lifesaving Upgrade from Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation
This grant is part of more than $86 million given by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to support safety across the U.S.
Fort Smith, AR – The Fort Smith Fire Department has been named a 2024 grant recipient by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation®, receiving $25,313 to ensure Fort Smith is safer than ever. The grant will be used to purchase a Paratech Basic 12 Shore Trench Kit for the department and will ensure our community is better prepared for emergencies.
“We are committed to helping organizations such as the Fort Smith Fire Department continue their lifesaving work. We are honored to be able to award this grant and do our part to ensure that Fort Smith is safer for everyone, including first responders,” said Robin Peters, Executive Director, Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation.
The Paratech Basic 12 Shore Trench Kit will be used to help rescue personnel create a safe environment for extracting individuals trapped in a trench, minimizing the risk of further collapse and injury.
