Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) Public Involvement Meeting for Improvements to Highway 22 (Rogers Ave.)
The Arkansas Department of Transportation (ARDOT) is implementing capacity improvements at the Highway 22/I-540 interchange and along the main lanes of Highway 22 (Rogers Ave.) in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
The improvements will include the construction of a raised median along the main lanes of Highway 22 (Rogers Ave.), as well as intersection improvements at various signalized intersections along the main lanes of Highway 22 (Rogers Ave.). The improvements will also include widening to add capacity to the off-ramps within the footprint of the interchange. This work is projected to begin in 2026.
An open house, in-person, public involvement meeting will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Fort Smith Public Library Community Room: 3201 Rogers Avenue, Fort Smith, Arkansas, 72903. Click here for the meeting location and directions.
The project website (linked HERE and below) contains a video presentation, the ability to view and download meeting materials and exhibits, and a place to provide online comments. All exhibits and information presented on the website will also be available at the in-person meeting.
The public is invited to visit the project website at their leisure. We also invite you to participate anytime during the in-person public meeting's scheduled hours to view exhibits, ask questions with staff, and offer comments.
