FORT SMITH, AR – Get ready for a joyful holiday season as 64.6 Downtown and the City of Fort Smith proudly present the "Friendliest Downtown Holiday Experience" for 2023.
This year's festivities will make for a memorable celebration of holiday spirit for the greater Fort Smith community and visitors alike!
Kickstart your holiday season with a host of activities and events happening in Downtown Fort Smith throughout November and December:
Ice Skating Rink

Community Rescue Mission, with the generous support of First National Bank of Fort Smith, ArcBest, City of Fort Smith Parks and Recreation Department, and Lovvorn Lumber, will delight visitors with a synthetic ice-skating rink. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy some "frosty" fun in the heart of downtown Fort Smith.
Small Business Saturday & Christmas Tree Lighting

Support your local community by shopping at downtown retailers on Small Business Saturday. Discover unique gifts and enjoy special holiday activities as you contribute to the wide array of Fort Smith's downtown small businesses, then join us for the annual Christmas Tree lighting ceremony featuring a majestic 22x11-foot Magnolia tree provided by Keep Fort Smith Beautiful. The ceremony will also showcase wooden Christmas trees that were diligently handcrafted by PEAK Innovation carpentry students and decorated by students from various Fort Smith Public Schools. The decorated trees will be displayed in Cisterna Park the week of Thanksgiving until January 3rd.

The Christmas parade, presented by Bonneville House, The Clayton House, and Fort Smith Museum of History, returns with yuletide fun and holiday cheer, including the crowd-favorite “Pups on Parade” float.
