HOUSING NOW SUMMIT
Friday 1 May – Coffs Harbour
The Mid North Coast Housing & Infrastructure Summit on Friday 1 May in Coffs Harbour, will bring together business, government, and industry leaders to examine housing & infrastructure challenges impacting our region and to explore practical, place‑based solutions.
The summit will commence with a practical review of the NSW Planning Reforms from an industry perspective, what’s working and what’s yet to be achieved. This will be followed by a panel discussion with senior representatives from each local council (including the MidCoast Council) in the region on the planning reforms, as well as challenges and opportunities relating to infrastructure and housing supply & affordability on their LGA’s.
To ensure the forum is grounded in real experience and addresses the issues that matter most to our region, we will then hear from industry on what issues are yet to be addressed, and the opportunities that exist in relation to infrastructure & housing. Get your tickets here.
EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION AND CARE SECTOR (ECEC) SURVEY
Only 65% of childcare demand was met on the Mid North Coast in 2023, resulting in an estimated $384 million in lost wages for local families. With recent Federal and State reforms to the ECEC sector, RDA Australia is checking whether local conditions have improved. If you work in or rely on childcare in our region, they want to hear from you.

Usual Anzac Day trading restrictions won’t apply so it’s important that businesses are aware of trading restrictions. Learn more.
