In conjunction with our ongoing work at Blue Lake Drive and Sicard Hollow, Roads and Transportation will be closing the southbound lane of Sicard Hollow on weekdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for utility relocation work. This work started on May 12 and is expected to take 3 weeks (weather depending). Traffic will be directed by flaggers throughout this period, however, motorists should anticipate delays and are encouraged to seek other routes if possible. We appreciate everyone's patience with this important work.
Jefferson County offices will be closed on Monday, May 26, in recognition of Memorial Day.
In the last newsletter we showed you some of the capacity improvements we were doing in front of the Buc-ee's in Leeds. If you click on the image below it will take you to a video of how the Environmental Services team uses a compact camera to go inside sewer lines to see where and what the issues are. It's just one way the department is constantly looking at the massive sewer infrastructure that serves Jefferson County and the surrounding community.
