As a part of its storm water program, Jefferson County assists communities in organizing and executing community roadside cleanups. These cleanups not only help beautify our neighborhoods, but it also keeps garbage from washing into our lakes and streams. * Mulga Loop Road Cleanup - 114 people, 3.5 tons of litter removed, and .014 tons of plastic bottles and cans were recycled.
* Dogwood Rove Rd - 18 people, 6.25 tons of litter removed, and 18.27 pounds of plastic bottles and cans were recycled.
* Martintown Raimund - 10 people, 1 ton of litter removed, 15 pounds of plastic bottles and cans were recycled.
* Oak Grove High School - 40 students, .16 tons of litter removed.
* Sicard Hollow Road - 17 people, 1 ton of litter removed, 25.3 pounds of plastic bottles and cans were recycled.
* Sterilite Drive & Meadow Craft Road - 125 KAMTEC staff and families, 250 bags of litter removed.
