Thanksgiving is next week and we know that frying turkeys is popular in the County. So we also want you to know how to dispose of that cooking oil and grease for FREE! The County has 21 locations (link here) where you can pick up one of these plastic jugs. When your cooking oil or grease cools off, just pour it in and return it to the bin, and then get another empty jug. This is a year-round program the County offers. The used cooking oil and grease that is returned to us is recycled into animal feed and biofuels by our partner Birmingham Hyde and Tallow. Recycling your household cooking grease saves your pipes and the sewer system from costly clogs and sewer overflows. If you want to know more listen to our podcast (link below)
