August 4, 2023 Update

Commissioner Bolin Sworn In Monday

The Jefferson County Commission welcomed it's newest Commissioner on Monday when retired Supreme Court Justice Mike Bolin was sworn in as the new District 5 Commissioner. That district represents the communities of Homewood, Vestavia, Mtn. Brook and parts of Leeds. Forrest Road Open - Hueytown

Jefferson County completed the second phase of work on Forrest Road. This work involved installing a new drainage culvert, raising the profile of the road, and repaving it to mitigate storm water overtopping the road in the future. We appreciate the patience of citizens in Hueytown with this work.

If you couldn't make it to one of the four public meetings the County had on its comprehensive planning effort you can still share your opinion with us! Click on the link below and enter the virtual meeting room (open until August 10). Be sure to click on each section and tell us what you would like to see in the future for unincorporated parts of Jefferson County. This is just the beginning! We will take the comments we received at the public meetings and from this virtual room and create a new comprehensive plan. Once we have one developed we will meet publicly again to share the plan.
