Oak Mountain State Park Update

Easter Egg Hunt & Spring Market Saturday, April 5 from 9am to 4 pm

Bring your basket and be ready to have fun!

This year's Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market will be located off Terrace Drive in the Multi-use Field by the Discover Shelby Pavilion! We will be celebrating and having a Hopping Good Time from 9am until 4pm on Saturday, April 5th! Everyone is Welcome!

We will have inflatables, a DJ, Face Painting, Balloon Art, and more!

Regular Entrance Fees: Age 3 and under are free, Age 4-11 are $2 each, Age 12-61 are $5 each, and Age 62+ are $2 each *Military and Veterans FREE* (Annual Passes are Valid) (Gates take cash and card payments)

Visit the Easter Bunny!

Look who we caught HOPPING into town! The Easter Bunny will be at the park on Saturday, April 5th, during our annual Easter Egg Hunt!

Take your own picture with the Easter Bunny at NO COST! (Pets wearing their favorite leashes are welcome to get their picture made, too!)

Easter Bunny Meet and Greet Times:

9AM-12PM

LUNCH BREAK

1PM-3PM

The Bunny will be taking a few short breaks throughout these times to make sure he stays cool and comfortable!

Guided Hike on the Lake Trail!

Our friend, Zach Weekley, will be hosting a beginner level guided hike for you during the Easter Egg Hunt and Spring Market event! The hike will be on the Lake Trail and everyone is welcome!

Meet him and your fellow hikers at the South Trailhead Parking Lot at 9:50am. The hike will start at 10am!

This trail is not stroller friendly. Dogs are welcome as long as they remain on a leash.

Beginner Yoga Class!

Join us at 9am beside Double Oak Lake for a gentle yoga class!

This 30-minute beginner-level yoga class offers a gentle introduction to breath work and vinyasa flow. Focused on mindful movement and relaxation, this class will guide you through simple poses while focusing on connecting to the natural setting around you. This class is perfect for those new to yoga or anyone looking for a more grounding, restorative practice.

This class will be led by our very own AnnaRuth Davis! She is an incredible ambassador for Oak Mountain State Park and works in our Interpretive Department. To meet AnnaRuth is to love her! We know you will enjoy her class.

Free class after regular entry fees to the park. There is no additional cost for this class. All ages are welcome! Please bring your own mat if you prefer one. Beach towels or bath towels can also work!

Learn to Fish!

Join us for a Backyard Casting Activity!!

This program is for young kids to practice the mechanics of casting so they are prepared with basic skills when they go fishing! A spin cast fishing pole and practice casting plugs are cast out and reeled in - "catching" a backyard bass plastic fish!!

We want to thank our partners in the Alabama Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries Division, Aquatic Education Program, for hosting this fun activity for the kids!

This program is free and will be available from 9am to noon, then again from 1pm to 4pm!

Easter Scavenger Hunt!

Don't forget to pick up a Scavenger Hunt sheet at the Oak Mountain State Park Main Office or the OMIC Event Booth at the Easter Egg Hunt - April 5th, 2025!

Complete the hunt and bring your finished sheet back to the Main Office before 4:30PM for a PRIZE!

We can't wait to see you there!
