Every year, Girl Scouts explore the natural wonders found across our country during the Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend. This weekend, you’re invited to join your fellow Girl Scouts in celebrating our shared love for the outdoors with your local state parks, along with your troop, friends, and family.

We are honored to receive two more awards for alapark.com. We hope the design and navigation provides a positive web experience for our users. Our parks staff does a wonderful job of adding the type of content that helps you make your park plans. Visiting the website, following our social media pages and signing up for these emails are the best ways to keep up with all things Park.

The Alabama State Parks resort parks feature lodges and lodge rooms that provide some of the most picturesque views that you will find anywhere. The parks staff goes above and beyond to make your stay safe and enjoyable. Take advantage of the Lodge Special at Lakepoint State Park.

Take a look at the brand new Cabins at the Caverns at Cathedral Caverns State Park. These "Tiny House" cabins are super cool and accepting reservations. These new cabins provide great overnight accommodations for park guests.

Over the past 80 years, trails have been a fundamental part of the park system’s mission. Because of this, we created the Dirt Pass Trail Crew Program. This program is a way to voluntarily donate $35 per year to help support our efforts to improve our trail system. Your money goes directly to the maintenance, enhancement and planning of the Alabama State Parks trails system. All Dirt Pass membership donations are made online and each donating Dirt Pass member will receive a cool, Trail Crew t-shirt to show your pride in our program.

Don't forget to purchase a new Alabama State Parks car tag in 2021. Last names that begin with the letters Q, S and T renew during the month of September. Last names with the letters U thru Z renew in October. For all you boat owners, we also have a boat tag and the same rules apply. This is a new form of much needed revenue for us.

Attention Leaf Peepers - Fall Colors will be here before you know it. The northern #alabamastateparks provide wonderful locations to view the beauty that nature provides. To learn more check out the Fall Color Trail.
