Be a part of birding’s biggest team! Global Big Day is an annual bird count celebration of the birds around you. No matter where you are on May 8th, join virtually to help celebrate World Migratory Bird Day, and share the birds you find with eBird.

The #alabamastateparks understands the importance of your wedding day. With several park locations to choose from and an experienced staff, your special day will be enjoyable memories that will last a lifetime. This video will help you make your wedding plans at an Alabama State Park.     

Don't forget to purchase a new Alabama State Parks car tag in 2021. Last names that begin with the letters H and O renew during the month of May. Last names with the letter M and I renew in June. For all you boat owners, we also have a boat tag and the same rules apply. This is a new form of much needed revenue for us. 

Attention anglers and boaters.....this new pier construction (pictured) at Roland Cooper State Park will help boaters and anglers on the Alabama River.  
Also, we invite boaters that use Lake Eufaula and the Chattahoochee River to check out the boat slip rentals at Lakepoint State Park.

Over the past 80 years, trails have been a fundamental part of the park system’s mission. Because of this, we created the Dirt Pass Trail Crew Program. This program is a way to voluntarily donate $35 per year to help support our efforts to improve our trail system. Your money goes directly to the maintenance, enhancement and planning of the Alabama State Parks trails system. All Dirt Pass membership donations are made online and each donating Dirt Pass member will receive a cool, Trail Crew t-shirt to show your pride in our program.
