The #AlabamaStateParks are proud to announce that several parks have earned the 2020 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Award. Receiving these awards is a tribute to the State Park employees that take pride in serving the public. Make your plans to visit.

Buck's Pocket State Park reopened its campground and introduced a brand new ORV(Off-Road Vehicles) trail.
We think these new amenities will create a family-friendly destination for campers, off-road enthusiasts and vacationers. Check out this article and make your plans.

We are excited that the new online camping reservation tool is now live. Feel free to make your reservations by using the new online tool, calling the park office or simply walking in. We encourage the use of this online tool. Visit reservealapark.com to make your reservations.

The Alabama State Parks resort parks feature lodges and lodge rooms that provide some of the most picturesque views that you will find anywhere. During this time of social distancing, we have gone above and beyond the State Health Dept. requirements in order to make your stay safe and enjoyable. Take advantage of our Summer Lodge Special.

Alabama's state parks receive 5 million annual visitors. Those visitors rely on the census to determine funding for things like education, healthcare and jobs. Take your census today at my2020census.gov. #ALCounts

Our ADCNR sister divisions now have the 2020-2021 hunting and fishing licenses available. New for the upcoming seasons are the All Access Hunting & Fishing Packages. Learn more.

Don't forget to purchase a new Alabama State Parks car tag in 2020. Last names that begin with the letters Q, S and T renew during the month of September. Last names with the letters U through Z renew in October. For all you boat owners, we also have a boat tag and the same rules apply. This is a new form of much needed revenue for us. Check out the National Association of State Park Directors 2020 America’s State Parks Photo Contest. The #alabamastateparks are great places to get cool photos and is fun way to learn more about our parks. Plan a trip, take some pics and submit to the contest.

Every year, Girl Scouts explore the natural wonders found across our country during the Girl Scouts Love State Parks weekend. On September 12 and 13, you’re invited to join your fellow Girl Scouts in celebrating our shared love for the outdoors with your local state parks, along with your troop, friends, and family.

Partnerships are vital to the Alabama State Parks and none is more important than our relationships with mountain bike clubs. Our relationship with the Central Alabama Mountain Pedalers (CAMP) has provided world class biking trails to Chewacla State Park and their guests. Check out this awesome video and make your plans.
