Out with Winter.................in with Spring!
Just like the changing of the season, the #AlabamaStateParks have had some improvements as well. From new campgrounds at Cheaha State Park to lodge renovations at Joe Wheeler State Park, these projects are made to provide our visitors with a better park experience.

Now is the perfect time to plan your camping trip to the Alabama State Parks. With over 2,600 campsites in 21 parks there are plenty of locations and options to choose from. Camping is a great way to learn more about all of the activities and amenities that the #AlabamaStateParks have to offer.

Spring is a great time of year to hit the trails. Whether you hike, bike, run or ride horseback the #AlabamaStateParks provide trail opportunities for everyone. Don't forget to purchase a new Alabama State Parks car tag in 2020. Last names that begin with the letters C and E renew during the month of March. Last names with the letters F, G and N renew in April. For all you boat owners, we also have a boat tag and the same rules apply. This is a new form of much needed revenue for us.

Employee Spotlight -
Congratulations to Bruce Adams, Superintendent of Wind Creek State Park, on receiving the 2020 Bronson award for his environmental service to the Lake Martin area.
