Camping Time at Cheaha State Park: Adventure Awaits! Whether you enjoy Improved Campgrounds, Primitive Campgrounds or Group Camping, Cheaha has something for you! Because you voted yes on Amendment 2, the park remodeled both the Upper and Lower Campgrounds with 77 improved campsites including four ADA campsites in the Upper and Lower Improved Campgrounds. All campsites have 20, 30, and 50 amp electrical hook-ups with water and sewer hook-ups, picnic table, grill or fire-ring, and access to a bathhouse. Lower Improved Campground is currently accessible by a USFS/ALDOT dirt road detour during an important and welcomed state road reparation project on Cheaha Road. This does not affect Upper Improved. Contact Superintendent Raney for more details.
