AUGUST 2018 | VOLUME #155
The Division of Retirement and Benefits is working on
the implementation of the new reporting system. This system will replace
our current reporting tool, eReporting and the SBS eReporting. With the
implementation of this new system, we have restructured the Employer Payroll Contacts. Employers have been sent a welcome email to each of their new employers based on
this recent re-structure. We have recently changed the Employer Services
website to accommodate employers with searching for their new payroll
contacts. Click here to see your new payroll contact.
We understand that change can be difficult. We
appreciate your patience during this transition.
The Division of Retirement and Benefits has recently implemented the Employer Forfeiture usage. We appreciate the extra time and effort that employers are taking in order to use their forfeiture credits on each contribution payroll. Employers will be sent forfeiture notices on a monthly basis, please remember that each employer must take their forfeiture credit on every payroll until the forfeiture balance is zero. This credit may not exceed the amount of the Defined Contribution Retirement (DCR) Employer contribution portion. This amount total can be found on the Employer summary. Please reach out to your payroll contact with questions on how to report the forfeiture credit.
The
Division of Retirement and Benefits will soon have a new look!
The Division has been working hard to organize and implement our new
website so that it is user friendly and information is easily accessible. Please look for it in the coming months.
The Division
of Retirement and Benefits will host the
biennial Employer Conference
once again, with seminars and workshops to benefit both employers and
members of the retirement systems. Hands on training for the new Employer
Services reporting tool will be offered.
We
are also initiating the pairing of all of our resources for payroll, benefit
education, training, financial planning and advice into regional areas so
employers have better access to the resources they need.
In
addition, we will present information on how we will partner with employers to
market the defined contribution retirement plans to better attract and retain
employees. This is an important conference for human resource, managers
and payroll staff to attend.
To
encourage greater attendance, the Division has
secured discounts on airfare for conference attendees, and are currently in the
process of securing hotel discounts. These should be completed in
the next two weeks. Please look for more information in a special
edition of the Employer News that will
announce the discounts and how to register for the conference.
