Easy Ways to Get and Stay Active

Current physical activity guidelines for Americans recommend at least 30 minutes of physical activity per day for at least 5 days per week for adults (60 minutes per day for kids). You don’t need to overhaul your life to achieve the heart healthy benefits of physical activity; sometimes it’s just a matter of tweaking your daily routine a bit to fit in this healthy habit.

Did you know that tobacco use it the most common preventable cause of death? AlaskaCare can help cover services to help you quit. Coverage includes preventive counseling visits, treatment visits, and class visits. The medical plan will cover a maximum of eight visits of up to one hour in a 12 consecutive month period.
