Cervical Health Awareness Month

Woman

January is Cervical Cancer Awareness Month. Cervical cancer can often be found early, and sometimes even prevented entirely, by having regular Pap tests. If detected early, cervical cancer is one of the most successfully treated cancers.

If you’re worried about developing cervical cancer, making decisions about treatment, or trying to stay well after treatment, the American Cancer Society has information than can help.

To find out how your plan covers cervical cancer screenings, please review details in your plan document or call Aetna Concierge at (855) 784-8646.

What is Vitamin D?

Sun

The link between vitamin D and strong, healthy bones was made many years ago when doctors realized that sunlight, which allows you to produce vitamin D, or taking cod liver oil, which contains vitamin D, helped to prevent a bone condition called rickets in children. Today, vitamin D is seen as a vital part of good health and is important not just for the health of your bones.
