Updated Continuing Education Requirements for EMS
EMS clinicians currently accrue their continuing education hours according to the 2016 National Continued Competency Program (NCCP) requirements. But that’s all changing!!!!
The NCCP 2025 Model and Standardized Course List will become effective as of 1 April 2025, after the Alaska EMS relicensure season ends on 31 March 2025.
For all EMS clinicians licenses expiring after 31 March ...
You must accrue your continuing education hours according to the NCCP 2025 update, and may use the Alaska-specific 2025 NCCP Model found within the Alaska EMS License and Management Public Portal under the "Information" tab.
Please note: The Alaska Emergency Trauma Technician (ETT) program does not participate in the NCCP.
