Tribal Encounter Rate CY2022

On April 8, 2022, the Federal Register published the approved rates for inpatient and outpatient medical care provided by Indian Health Service (IHS) facilities for calendar year 2022.
Optum system configuration for processing of behavioral health claims at the 2022 IHS encounter rate is targeted for completion no later than April 30, 2022.
Optum reprocessing of claims paid at the 2021 rate with dates of service on or after January 1, 2022, will take place in 60-90 days.
