COVID 19 Topics for Provider Calls Monday April 20, 2020

DBH Provider Calls will continue on April 20, 2020.   On Monday DBH staff will cover the following topics:

 

New DBH provider Individualized Service Agreements:

  • DBH has developed a new Individualized Service Agreement specifically for the immediate needs of clients during the COVID pandemic. This COVID 19 Response ISP—CRISP—allows providers to meet practical needs for clients that are not met through other resources.
  • Kristina Weltzin has been the DBH point person for Youth ISA and will be contact person for CRISP. She and Alyssa Hobbs from Grants and Contracts will be joining us to answer questions as well.

 

Access to Rapid Testing for Residential Providers:

  • Provider inquiries came through the commissioner’s office asking if testing criteria could include individuals, youth and adult, in need or residential treatment, who are not displaying COVID-19 symptoms.   Access to testing could assist in getting individuals into needed services.  
  • Per Commissioner Crum, “we have enough capacity now to test for persons entering fixed facilities, like youth residential homes.”
  • Providers should find a local test site and build a relationship with that provider so people entering their facilities can be tested.
  • Currently, at the state labs there is capacity to do 5,000 tests/week, ANMC can do 3750/week, and hospitals are using their existing machines.
  • If you have additional questions, reach out to your local EOC, or your Program Manager or MPASS.
