Alaska adults can now text to enroll in Alaska’s Tobacco Quit Line
Text READY to 200-400
Starting this month, Alaska adults can text to enroll in Alaska’s Tobacco Quit Line and receive free support to quit tobacco use. Simply text READY to 200-400 and begin enrollment. Adults can receive services tailored to their needs, including: phone, web, and text-based coaching and nicotine replacement therapy (such as patches, lozenges and/or gum).
Alaska’s Tobacco Prevention and Control Program is sharing information about the new texting option through this short video on Facebook>
Alaska’s Tobacco Quit Line is FREE for all eligible Alaskans 18 and older and is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Once enrolled, participants will receive support with quitting and staying quit from all forms of tobacco, including smokeless tobacco and e-cigarettes. They'll follow a quit plan that is right for them.
