EMS Regulation FAQs
It is an exciting time for Alaska EMS! This is the first major revision of the EMS regulations in over 15 years and it has added an Advanced EMT level, revised the scope of practice, and updated educational standards to meet the demands of a changing EMS landscape. Please take time to review the changes made to The Alaska EMS Regulations here.

EMS Certification 2019-20
December 31- Ambulance Service, EMT 1 Recertification, and ETT Instructor Recertification
March 31- EMT 2, EMT 3, AEMT and Instructor Recertification

Attention EMS Medical Directors Medical Directors will now need to establish and maintain their own account within the Certification Management System in order to electronically sign off on EMS agency and provider applications. |

Helpful Tip: In preparation for the approaching certification season please make sure you have an active and up to date Certification Management System account. |
