NEMSIS Version 3.5 Will Lead to Data Input Simplification
In an effort to simplify the National EMS Information System (NEMSIS) V3 standard and reduce the data collection burden placed on EMS providers, NEMSIS has already begun working on transitioning to version 3.5.0. The current proposed timeline for v3.5.0 has the software update released by vendors in February of 2020 and majority implementation by EMS agencies in January of 2021. The State EMS Office is working closely with NEMSIS and ImageTrend to ensure the transition will be as smooth as possible to all of the EMS agencies in the state. [Read more about V3.5 here.]
