SFSP Applications
- Application period is open in CNP Web. Please allow 30 days for application processing prior to start date. Cutoff for all applications is June 15.

Area Eligibility: when using the mapper tools, the address in the mapper must match the site address.
- Be sure to submit your application in CNP Web for approval once all information is entered and uploaded. This can be found at the bottom of the checklist page.
- FY24 Grant Awards will be completed using DocuSign this year.

Extension of Comment Period:
Interim Final Rule, "Establishing the Summer EBT Program and Rural Non-Congregate Option in the Summer Meal Programs
The USDA Food and Nutrition Service is extending the public comment period on the interim final rule, “Establishing the Summer EBT Program and Rural Non-Congregate Option in the Summer Meal Programs,’’ which published in the Federal Register on December 29, 2023. This action extends the public comment period From April 29, 2024, to August 27, 2024, to give the public additional time to prepare and submit comments.
The comment period of the interim final rule published April 19, 2024, at 89 FR 28572, is extended through August. To be assured of consideration, written comments on this interim final rule must be received on or before August 27, 2024.
The Food and Nutrition Service invites interested persons to submit comments on this interim final rule. Comments may be submitted by any of the following methods:

Proposed Rule on Serious Deficiency Process in CACFP & SFSP
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Food and Nutrition Service (FNS) is still receiving comments on the Proposed Rule entitled "Serious Deficiency Process in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) and the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP)” in the Federal Register. These changes aim to improve consistency in the serious deficiency process within and across States and strengthen program integrity.

Written comments must be received on or before May 21, 2024, to be assured of consideration.

Under the Food Item Details Page users can select the desired Serving Size per Meal Contribution for fruits and vegetables using a drop-down menu to auto-calculate the amount to purchase based on the serving size.
