Sending Confidential Information
From time to time, you may need to send documents that contain confidential information to Alaska Child Nutrition Programs. The best way to send sensitive information to State of Alaska employees is through Alaska's ZendTo service (https://drop.state.ak.us/).
Sending sensitive information via email is strongly discouraged and may be a violation of applicable privacy law because email is not encrypted by default, passes through multiple servers, and secure (TLS or SSL) transmission is not required or defaulted on many email servers.
Registration is not required; however, you will be required to verify your email address. Attached is a quick guide on sending and receiving files through ZendTo.
Resource: Crediting Tip Sheets in Child Nutrition Programs
USDA FNS has created a crediting tip sheet series that provides handy references for program operators on how to credit the five meal components in child nutrition programs:
Each tip sheet has its own question-and-answer section to help test your knowledge, so it's a great training tool for your program staff!
Resource: CN Label Quiz
Here's another training tool for you and your staff: Team Nutrition has released a web quiz on Child Nutrition labels.
This quiz helps program operators identify products eligible for a CN label and understand the requirements for accepting CN labeled products. It is comprised of 10 self-paced questions and provides feedback for correct and incorrect answer choices. Users can retake the quiz or retry questions, and upon completion, will receive a score and a link to resources that will help expand your knowledge on the topic.
Take the quiz today at https://www.fns.usda.gov/quiz/child-nutrition-label-quiz.
If you are looking for more learning opportunities that are quick and fun, you can access the rest of the Team Nutrition Quizzes, which cover a variety of topics like meal components and school nutrition.
