Senator Murkowski is accepting applications from Alaskan high school seniors who wish to participate in her summer high school internship program. Please feel free to share this with youth who may be interested.

The Alaska Department of Education and Early Development (DEED) is seeking approximately 18 Alaska educators representing diverse locations, grade-levels, and social studies content knowledge to serve on a writing team for updating Alaska’s Social Studies Standards.
Writing team members will work in-person (May 20-21 and September 23-24) and virtually (May 6, the week of June 26, the week of July 24, August 8, the week of August 14, and November 11). Applicants should embody the key knowledge, skills, and behaviors criteria outlined here, and be able to commit to individual, small group, and large group asynchronous and/or synchronous work. Those who serve in this capacity will receive a stipend.
