12th, 14th, Clay, and Jefferson streets closed for Art and Soul Festival

Due to the Art and Soul Festival in downtown Oakland this weekend, several streets are closed off and AC Transit lines will be redirected beginning Thursday, August 18, at 9:00 a.m. and ending Monday morning, August 22, at 3:00 a.m. The streets closed off are:

• 14th St. between Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Broadway
• 12th St. between Jefferson St. and Broadway
• Clay St. between 11th St. and 16th St.
• Jefferson St. between 12th St. and 15th St.

During this period, the following lines have detours affecting passenger stops:

• Lines 14, 20 and 40. From Friday morning through Sunday night, lines 14, 20, and 40 to downtown Oakland will not service stops on 12th St. at either Broadway or Clay St. For lines 14 and 40, alight on 12th St. at Webster St. or, for all lines, continue to the end of the lines on 11th St. at Jefferson St. Line 14 to Fruitvale BART, Line 20 to the Fruitvale district, and Line 40 to Eastmont Transit Center/Bay Fair BART will not be detoured.
• Line 26. Catch Line 26 to Lakeshore Ave. on 14th St. at either Martin Luther King Jr. Way or Harrison St. Catch Line 26 to Emeryville on 14th St. at Franklin St. or Brush St. (across Interstate 980 from downtown Oakland).
• Line 31. From Friday morning through Sunday night, catch Line 31 to West Oakland BART/Emeryville on 8th St. at Broadway or on 12th St. at Martin Luther King Jr. Way.
• Line 88. From Friday morning through Sunday night, catch Line 88 to Berkeley BART at regular stop on 12th St. and either Martin Luther King Jr. Way or Webster St. Service to Lake Merritt BART is unaffected.
• Line 800. Catch Line 800 to San Francisco on Broadway at 14th St. To Berkeley and Richmond, catch Line 800 on Broadway at 17th St. or on 7th St. at Jefferson St.
