Dumbarton Bridge Closed Labor Day Weekend
Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District (AC Transit) sent this bulletin at 08/27/2012 11:00 PM PDT
Due to seismic retrofitting, the Dumbarton Bridge will be closed from 10 p.m. Friday, August 31, through 5 a.m. Tuesday, September 4. If the closure proceeds as planned, it will not affect lines DA, U, or the Dumbarton Express lines DB and DB1, which are not in service on weekends or holidays.
However, the reopening could be delayed, which will extend the bridge closure into the regular weekday commute impacting lines DA, U, and the Dumbarton Express lines DB and DB1.
This closure is weather dependent and may be delayed to another weekend. In this event, it would begin on a Thursday night and reopen Monday morning and Friday's bus service would be disrupted.
