AC Transit is committed to the people that we serve.  As an essential public service that helps connect our riders to their communities, we know that voting is an equally-vital part of civic participation.

AC Transit encourages you to exercise your Constitutional right to vote this year!  Registering for and voting in an election is easy.

STEP 1: REGISTER TO VOTE

The deadline to register for the November election is Monday, October 19, 2020. Register online at www.RegisterToVote.ca.gov or pick up a form at the library, Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) or the post office.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, election officials are encouraging voters to vote by mail.  To request a mail-in (also called an “absentee”) ballot, use the application printed on the voter information guide you will receive in the mail.  You may also visit or write to your county elections official for an application or use the California Vote-By-Mail Ballot Application.  The application is available in the following languages:

The last day to request a mail-in / absentee ballot is Tuesday, October 27, 2020.  Click here for detailed vote-by-mail information.

STEP 2: VOTE!

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020.  Instead of going to the polls, you may vote using the vote-by-mail ballot that will be sent to you.  Your mail-in ballot must be postmarked on or before Election Day.

You can also cast your vote at a secure ballot drop box.  Outdoor ballot drop boxes are available 24 hours a day / seven days a week, will be available until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

On Election Day, the polls will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  Click here to find your polling place online, or contact your local registrar of voters:
