WARNING: AVOID THE BRT BUS-ONLY LANE

AC Transit’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project is nearing completion of construction. As construction is occurring in phases, sections of the BRT corridor will open exclusively for essential safety-training and testing of BRT’s buses, stations, and the transit-only lanes.

The newest safety training sections, International Boulevard between 39th and Derby Avenues, will open on Wednesday, June 24th. To do so safely, the bus-only lane must be clear of all vehicles.

VEHICLES PARKED IN THE BUS-ONLY LANE WILL BE TICKETED OR TOWED AT OWNER’S EXPENSE.

Please note, the bus-only lane is marked and painted on the roadway. Once testing and training begins, you will notice regular operation of BRT buses inside the bus-only lane.  Bus frequency will ultimately increase to every seven minutes during peak hours.

AC Transit wishes to thank you for encouraging safety by asking your visitors, employees, and customers to avoid the bus-only lane.

We can be reached by telephone at (510) 891–5478. Additional facts and information are available on our website at brt.actransit.org.
