AC Transit’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project is Revitalizing International Boulevard

  • To complete the work as quickly as possible, work will occur over the course of two nights. Old pavement will be removed and replaced with a layer of new asphalt.
  • Motorists will continue to have street access to homes and businesses during the day.
  • Stay Safe!  Please follow all construction and detour signs while the work is underway.
Nighttime Paving

AC Transit understands that nighttime work may be disruptive so is providing FREE ear plugs to affected residents.  The ear plugs can be picked up at the BRT Information Center at 3322A International Boulevard, or delivered to residences near the planned nighttime work upon request.

About AC Transit’s Bus Rapid Transit (BRT)
BRT is a $216 million investment in the community. BRT bus service mirrors the frequency, reliability and safety of light-rail train service without the high cost of building a rail line. BRT will operate along a 9.5-mile corridor between downtown Oakland and the San Leandro BART Station, primarily along International Boulevard and East 14th Street.
