About AC Transit Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project

BRT is a bus service that mirrors the frequency, reliability and safety of light-rail train service without the high cost. BRT will operate along a 9.5-mile corridor between downtown Oakland and the San Leandro BART Station, primarily along International Boulevard and East 14th Street.

AC Transit is committed to a construction schedule that is timely, efficient and provides the most accurate information for those doing business and those who call the 9.5-mile BRT corridor “home.” Members of our Outreach Team are on the BRT corridor daily to answer questions and provide the latest updates. Regular construction updates are also available on the BRT website in our Construction section as well as on social media. Please follow us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. 

Please note, field conditions and weather may impact schedules and construction zone locations. As we make progress on this $216 million investment in the community, AC Transit encourages businesses and residents alike to allow extra travel time.
